American Federal Loans

LATEST NEWS/UPDATES:

2013/14 student funding - new and contintuing UK/home full-time students can now apply for their funding for the 2013/14 academic year.  Applications for students resident in England can be made online via this link.  UK students resident in Northern Ireland, Wales or Scotland should apply to their own funding authority. For continuing full-time undergraduate UK/home or EU students who paid £3,465 last year the tuition fee will be the same (£3,465) for 2013/14 - you need to enter this on the online system as it automatically defaults to £9,000.  Students who started in September 2012 and paid £9,000 your tuition fees are also unchanged at £9,000 for 2013/14.  If you wish to apply by paper application forms can be downloaded via this link.  Student Finance England have advised that the deadline for submitting applications for new students is 31st May 2013 and for continuing students 28th June 2013 - this 'deadline' is when they guarantee funding should be in place for the start of the new academic year assuming the application has been fully assessed and approved.  Applications can actually be made up to 9 months after the start of the course.

UK/Home students wishing to study on a part-time basis will be able to make their funding application from Summer 2013.

Student Finance England - Change of Circumstances

If your circumstances change after you have applied for funding you need to inform Student Finance England or your funding authority. Some of those changes can be done online - more information can be found via this link.

Partner College students

If you are a University of Lincoln student studying at a partner college please make sure your put University of Lincoln as your place of study.

National Scholarship Programme/Lincoln Support Package

New full-time undergraduate UK/Home students paying £9,000 tuition fees and from a low income background may be able to receive additional funds from the above schemes.  More information is available on the University's webpages.  You do not need to apply for this funding - it should be automatic as long as you have been fully assessed by Student Finance England and have given consent to share information with the University.

Access to Learning Fund 2012/13

The Access to Learning Fund 2012/13 opened on 5th November 2012 and closes for most students on 31st May 2013.  For those whose courses are longer it will remain open until 31st July 2013.

Summer Reassessment Fund 2013

This Fund will open for those continuing eligible students who are unable to work over the summer vacation period on 3rd June 2013 for most students (1st August 2013 for those whose course are longer).

American Federal Loans - Direct Loans

The Student Funding Team (SFT) is located in the Student Support Centre on the ground floor of the Main Admin Building at the Brayford Pool campus.
